Margaret McVie Crittell, MD

I grew up in Shreveport, the second of four children.

After earning my undergraduate degree in biochemistry at Knox College in Galesburg, Illinois, I attended Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center-Shreveport School of Medicine. I continued my training at the Joint Pediatric Residency Training Program in Omaha, Nebraska. In 2003, my husband and I returned to Shreveport where I joined the practice of Pierremont Pediatrics.

A certified pediatrician (American Board of Pediatrics), I am a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and a member of the Northwest Louisiana Medical Society and the American Medical Association. My community commitment includes past service on the Shreveport Metropolitan Ballet board of directors, membership on the Authors in April committee and past president of the Northwest Louisiana Pediatric Society.

On a personal note, my husband and I are the parents of three beautiful children. When time permits, we love traveling to visit our extended family. I like to knit and bake fancy birthday cakes for my kids. As a family, we place a high priority on physical fitness; my husband and I enjoy training for triathlons.
